Logo Development
Taking on board the comments from my original logo post, and following further discussion at Nonsense HQ, find below some more evolved designs. The annotations should guide you through, but basically, these are focusing on a more Web 2.0 sort of style; maintaining gradients as per the favoured 1st set of designs, but considering a couple more rounded, playful sort of typefaces.
Oh, and as requested by our mate Nathaniel at ActionAid, you can click on the scribbles below and view them at a larger scale!
Comments please. If all else fails we’ll get one from the web 2.0 logo creatr…
More still to come. Mike’s “flames-from-the-side-to-make-it-look-like-its-moving” idea is one I’m gonna look at. (But Rob, your “just use a photo of a desk on fire” thought is going nowhere mate. We all agree its a great marketing idea - maybe you should stick to that…)

Great post. Its always great to find people blogging about their experiences. Interesting enough, I made a similar post to my blog (http://ahmoment.wordpress.com/) about project/company identity(Name and logo creation). Keep up the good work.

OK, OK - the ritual desk burning is more of a marketing thought than useful for a logo. I just really want to burn a desk. Let’s get on with it.
Also, when we’ve got a date for that, we should get it on Upcoming;

Hopefully, a few of our faithful readers will make it along.

By the way, that “g” in the first one is… how can I say this… RUBBISH.
Looks like a pair of old skool 3D specs…

I’d probably draw the line at the reflection but those last three are really getting somewhere - I particularly like the wild fire. Last one is my favourite. Nice work!

Thanks Dave, yeah I agree, additional flames coming from the key line improve the look of the logo. My personal fav is the first one on the second page however I also agree with you Rob about the “g”, I can rework that into something a little more normal looking.. maybe that’ll help sway your vote too Dave..? That said, I think Robbie is a fan of the 3rd one too, let’s await his feedback.
In the meantime, I’ll work on sorting those 3d specs out!
